The Birth Cottage midwives were breastfeeding mothers themselves, and remain committed to supporting a close and healthy nursing relationship for every mother who plans to breastfeed.
Postpartum Support for Nursing
Mothers
Midwives are available 24 hours per day in the early postpartum to help with nursing issues, and will help you access community resources for breastfeeding support as needed. Our breastfeeding rates at The Birth Cottage are nearly 100%, with the majority of mothers choosing to nurse throughout (or beyond) the first year.
La Leche League
(Milford group) meets at the birth center every second Thursday of the month.
